FAQ - You have questions:
About our clothes
When you're viewing a clothing page, in the info column you can see a little measuring tape icon - if you click the text link above it, an overlay will appear containing measurements and sizing information. The measurements shown are taken directly from our clothes. We recommend cross-referencing these against your favourite fitting garments to find which of our sizes are best for you.
Our clothes are made in Portugal, in an amazing factory called Petratex. They have excellent sustainability credentials, as well as ethical hiring and staff care policies. We are extremely lucky to work with them, and know that the level of care and attention they give our project, and each individual garment, would be hard to find anywhere else.
It's a great question. One day, we hope to be able produce here. Currently, there just isn't the infrastructure to support this. Performance garments require performance textiles, and the most advanced sustainable ones are made in mills that are quite far away. Also, the machines and expertise needed for the relatively complex construction involved (even if the end result appears simple) are also scarce where we're based. If you know otherwise, or have several million pounds to invest in an earth-right factory, here in the Black Mountains, please get in touch, as we'd absolutely love to hear from you.
Maybe.
Currently we offer xs (UK 8), s (UK 10), m (UK 12) and l (UK 14). We had to work with budget constraints for our first collection, and so were limited to those sizes, but plan to widen our size range in future - please bear with us.
About delivery and returns
Not yet - we're sorry - but we're working on it, and plan to offer wider international shipping soon.

About other things
There's quite a bit of information on the care page. For washing; we recommend that you wash all our clothes using a cool setting on your machine (30º) and then hanging them to dry. Washing at lower temperatures saves energy and helps increase the lifespan of the clothing. Use non-bio or earth-friendly products where possible - Method and Ecover have products that are phosphate-free, cruelty-free and are packaged in recyclable bottles, for example.
Even though we've sourced the most sustainable performance fabrics available for our clothing, some pieces could release microfibres during washing. To reduce the chances of microfibres entering the water system, we recommend a washing bag; Guppyfriend make a great one.
Repairs; A lot of kit on the market feature complex seams that can't be easily fixed - ours have been designed to be repaired by hand, using traditional needle and thread. We call this 'fixability' and you can read more about it here.
In Greek mythology, a Dryad is a female tree-dwelling spirit. We're not the first brand to borrow our name from Greek mythology–there's another really big and famous company who did it before us. But if you saw where we're based you'd understand. In the right conditions, when the mist is low beneath the ancient tree canopy, and the trails are quiet…well, you'll have to come for a run here sometime and find out...

Because we're not qualified to. We are runners, but not teachers, coaches or experts in technique (definitely not experts in technique). We made a decision early on that we'd leave the technical stuff to others who do it better than we could, and concentrate on making the best-fitting, sustainably-made running clothes we could instead. We'll leave it to others to give advice - though we're hoping to have some guest writers on our blog - checkpoints - who might have some useful tips.
Yes they did. If we ever meet in real life, and you're interested in the story, we'll tell you all about it.
